SES names finance chief

Satellite operator SES has named Padraig McCarthy as its new chief financial officer.

Andrew Browne, SES’ current chief financial officer, has decided to relocate back to The Hague. He will leave his position in the company to become the chief financial officer of satellite broadband outfit O3b Networks.

McCarth, who will take up his post on April 4, joined SES in 1995, and is currently senior vice-president, financial operations and business support.
