New members for Open IPTV Forum

The Open IPTV Forum has added set top box vendor ABox42, application developer Axonista, testing businesses BluFocus and Digital TV Labs, and technology companies DCC Labs and mistserver.org as new members, taking the total number of new members to the organisation over the last six months to 18.

The Forum, which promotes interoperable specifications, said that the new companies would increase the breadth of industry support for its open specifications for connected TV services and devices. Nilo Mitra, The Open IPTV Forum’s president, announced the new members in advance of the organisation’s forthcoming plenary, to be hosted by Sony in Tokyo, Japan.
