Teo sees digital interest rise as DSO nears
Lithuanian telco Teo has seen a surge in demand for its digital TV services in the run-up to analogue switch-off.
The operator, which offers TV services under the Gala TV brand, said the number of people switching to digital TV services has increased by half compared to the end of September. Over the last two weeks, the number of customers registering their interest in purchasing digital TV services increased by 43% compared to the same period in September.
“We are ready for the influx of customers – we have extended the working hours of our customer care units and involved more human resources. For this period, we have additionally purchased necessary equipment and more antennae,” said Teo’s chief marketing officer Nerijus Ivanauskas.
