SES to present series of seminars
Satellite operator SES is to present a series of seminars at IBC covering a range of satellite-related topics
The seminars will cover 15 of the most topical developments in satellite business.
The SES briefings will include one on SAT-IP technology, described by SES as one of the most ground-breaking recent developments in the satellite industry. With SAT-IP, SES enables satellite TV viewers to receive channels and programmes on multiple devices without additional infrastructure.
The signal is demodulated and converted into IP directly at the reception point in the home. It can then be transmitted via the existing IP infrastructure to the television set, PC, tablet computer or other mobile device. This year’s business briefing will also address the development of new markets. The main focus will be on Africa. SES will also offer insight into the opportunities for the DTH market in Asia as well as the latest updates on the company’s satellite fleet.
