UEFA awards Portuguese rights

European football body UEFA has awarded 2012-15 Europa League media rights in Portugal to commercial free-to-air broadcaster SIC.

SIC has been granted the right to broadcast the best live match each matchweek. A highlights programme featuring the action from each round of games will follow SIC’s live match transmission.

SIC will be able to exploit the rights on television, on the internet via www.sic.sapo.pt, and on mobile devices.

Sports channel SporTV had previously acquired the remaining Europa League matches and highlights.
