M77 Group takes additional satellite capacity

M77 Group, which operates Sky Link and CS Link platforms in the Czech Republic, has taken an additional transponder on the Astra satellite platform at 23.5° East.

M77 and Luxembourg parent group M7 together currently use 13 transponders across the 19.2° East and 23.5° East positions.

Kees Färber, board member of M77, said: “With this capacity we make another step in our successful growth in Central Europe and it will allow us to better service the local broadcasters and our customers. It also underlines the role of the Astra 23.5° East position as the most popular DTH position for our markets.”
