Netflix launches updated web video player

Netflix has launched an updated web video player for viewing of the online video service on PCs and Macs.

New features include scalable controls, making it easier to use the player on large screens. The player will also scale down to smaller windows, as well as stretching to the full window in the browser. Full screen mode now has all the features of browser mode, so viewers can view season/episode information and change to the next episode when watching a TV programme. The pause function also now reveals more information about the title being watched.

Controls within the player have been consolidated into one line and the UI uses icons instead of words.
