Motors TV launches on Canal Plus Spain

Motorsports channel Motors TV has launched on Canal Plus’s Spanish pay TV platform.

Motors TV is available in Canal Plus’s basic package, meaning it is now distributed to 23 million European households. The deal was brokered by channel distributor Thema.

Jean Luc Roy, president and CEO of Motors TV said, “We are delighted to have concluded an agreement to expand into Spain with Groupe Canal Plus and would like to thanks Thema and its team for their assistance. 1.8 million new subscribers now have access to over 100 racing series on Motors TV, many of which are broadcast live. We have also taken this opportunity to launch a sixth language version for our Spanish viewers, who we know to be particularly passionate motorsports fans.”
