Chello Central Europe strikes new carriage deals
Chello Central Europe, the Liberty Global-owned pan-regional broadcast group, has inked a number of carriage deals for its channel TV Paprika and Zone Romantica. The company has inked a deal with UPC’s Focus Sat in Romania for cooking channel TV Paprika, while female skewing Zone Romantica will launch on UPC Direct platform in Hungary.
Both channels launched on May 1. ”We are delighted that Zone Romantica has become part of UPC Direct’s Light package in Hungary. Following our agreement with UPC Direct, Zone Romantica can already be seen in more than 2.2 million households in Hungary, and further changes and investment can be expected this year. The launch of TV Paprika on Focus Sat in Romania further expands the footprint of our cooking channel across Central Europe and is yet another milestone in our commitment to make this entertaining channel available to a larger audience,” said Levente Málnay, CEO, Chello Central Europe.
