Zeebox launches synchronised screen ad campaign in UK
Zeebox, the interactive TV technology company founded by former YouView and iPlayer technology chief Anthony Rose, has launched what it describes as the UK’s first synchronised ad campaign across TV, social media and second screen devices to promote the new Twentieth Century Fox film Prometheus.
The campaign kicked off on Sunday night on Channel 4, during the broadcast of the Homeland series. Viewers were invited to share their thoughts about the film on Twitter using the hashtag #areyouseeingthis. A selection of tweets were broadcast during a follow-on 40-second ad spot during the next ad break.
The promotion kicks off a month-long campaign in Zeebox around Prometheus, where consumers using Zeebox’s app to enhance their viewing of key prime-time TV shows will gain access to exclusive content, including giveaways synchronised with Prometheus trailers appearing on TV.
