Sistema mulls possible DTT launch

Russian conglomerate Sistema is mulling the possible launch of digital-terrestrial TV services using a 470-694MHz frequency held by its Intellect Telecom subsidiary, according to local reports.

Sistema president Mikhail Shamolin told local press that the frequency was likely to be used for digital TV, but it was not yet clear in what format.

Sistema already offers IPTV services via its MTS subsidiary.
