Antik launches new transcoder

Slovakia-based technology provider Antik has launched a new ASIC-based transcoder platform.

According to Antik, the Juice Ember Hi-Density Multi Transcoder can transcode up to 15 SD or HD channels, meaning that with eight transcoding modules, customers can manage up to 120 channels from MPEG-2 into H.264 or transrate video to a lower bit-rate. The 2RU device is targeted at telcos and OTT content providers.
