Roku passes 100-channel milestone in UK

Over-the-top set-top provider and content aggregator Roku has passed the milestone of 100 channels on its platform in the UK and Ireland, more than doubling the number since its launch in January.

Roku launched in the UK and Ireland with 40 channels including Netflix, and has grown its selection to more than 100 channels including BBC iPlayer, FoxNews.com and Euronews, with more expected over the coming months, the company said.

Two models of Roku players – Roku LT and Roku 2 XS – are available in the U.K. and Ireland for suggested retail prices of £49.99 (€60) and £99.99, respectively.
