Triax debuts IP headend

Triax has used its first appearance at the IP&TV World Forum to debut its new IP headend aimed at small operators, MDU installations and the hospitality sector.

Hans Lauritsen, export director of Triax, said that small operators were now migrating to IP for the delivery of services, but were nervous about the transition. He said this market segment looked for a single supplier of technology, meaning that it was important to team up with other technology providers to deliver a fully integrated system encompassing elements including middleware and set-top boxes as well as the headend.
