Imagine releases new multiscreen transcoder

Imagine Communications has released a new unified transcoding platform for IPTV and multiscreen distribution of content.

According to the company, the latest version of its ICE video platform delivers up to 16 1080p services plus an additional 64 multiscreen profiles from a single 1RU server. Also available as a NEBS-compliant blade system, the platform integrates audio and video transcoding in the same platform as picture-in-picture creation, multiscreen transcoding and multi-format media streaming, according to the company.
