Tricolor TV launches collective dish service

Leading Russian satellite TV provider Tricolor TV has launched a collective dish service for multi-dwelling units.

Tricolor is making the collective dish service available to construction companies, housing management groups and groups of individual tenants. The pilot project was launched in mid-December in Moscow but will be extended to cities in the Leningrad region.

Tricolor has also taken advantage of the recent removal of restrictions on its ability to provide TV services to entities rather than individuals to launch a service for restaurants, cafés, hotels and bars. Fees for the service will be  marginally higher than the RUB600 (€14.50) a year charged to individual subscribers.
