Chello Zone sells studio business


International channel operator Chello Zone has sold its studio business in eastern Europe.

The Liberty Global-owned company, which operates channel brands including Zone Reality, Zone Romantica, Horror Channel, Extreme Sports Channel and preschool channel JimJam, has sold the operational studio business to Broadcast Text International.

The private equity owned versioning company has bought the dubbing studios in Poland and Romania, which produces more than 30,000 hours of subtitling, lectoring and dubbing per year. Broadcast Text International will still provide these services to Chello Zone channels after striking a separate deal.
