Deutsche Telekom technology chief to leave early

Deutsche Telekom’s innovation and technology director Edward Kozel is to leave the company at the end of this year, according to local press.

Deutsche Telekom CEO René Obermann will take over Kozel’s role on an interim basis. Kozel, the former chief technology officer of Cisco Systems, was hired with much fanfare last year. However, according to the Handelsblatt newspaper, he asked to be released from his contract, due to run until 2015.
