Fox Italy names entertainment chief

Fox International Channels has appointed former Mediaset executive Alberto Rossini to head of entertainment for its Italian arm.

Rossini will oversee all aspects of programming, production and acquisitions for the group’s pay TV channels including Fox, Fox Life, Fox Crime and Fox Retro.

He will join the company in January 2012 from Digicast, where he was director of channels including Lei, Dove, Yacht & Sail and Caccia e Pesca. Previously he worked at Mediaset’s Canale 5, Telecom Italia’s LA7 as well as a variety of roles across MTV, Nickelodeon and Comedy Central. He will report to Diego Londono, president and chief executive of Fox Channels Italy.
