Panasonic adds social TV app

Panasonic last week unveiled a new social TV app that will be available on its Viera Connect TVs in North America. The app will provide viewers with access to one or more social media sites including Twitter and Facebook while watching programmes at the same time.

In addition to the social TV app, Panasonic also announced the addition of a new gaming application from PlayJam and a Bollywood-themed movie/video-on-demand channel, BigFlix. The three new apps are available at no additional fee.
