Discovery shakes up programme sales operation

Factual channel operator and programmer Discovery Communications has rejigged its programme sales team in the Europe, the Middle East and Africa region. It has created a new role, regional director of programme sales, at its Discovery Enterprises International (DEI) unit.

Saevar Lemke will fill the position and oversee programme sales to third parties in the EMEA region. He will be based in Munich, Germany and report to Nicolas Bonard, senior vice-president, DEI. 
Lemke was previously head of sales for Germany. His team comprises Julia Bokszczanin, a newly hired Warsaw-based programme sales manager will focus on central and eastern Europe, Greece, Turkey and the Middle East; Charo Penedo Arroyo, programme sales manager, based in Madrid, will oversee southern Europe; and Anna Scheitzach, Munich-based programme sales executive, who will be responsible for Russia, the Commonwealth of Independent States and the Baltics.
