Orca signs middleware deal for Georgia’s new pay TV platform

Georgian telco Silknet has selected middleware from Viaccess-owned Orca for its new pay TV service.

Orca will supply its RiGHTv middleware platform and COMPASS content discovery and recommendations platform for Silknet’s TV service, scheduled to launch at the end of the year. The telco will offer a combination of free-to-air digital channels, premium subscription channels, VOD and DVR services. It will deploy Orca’s system for content discovery and recommendations to enable it to personalise and enrich the platform.
