BBC Worldwide names CEE chief

BBC Worldwide Channels, the international channels arm of the British public broadcaster, has hired former Discovery exec Zbigniew Pruski as commercial manager across its portfolio of channels in Central and Eastern Europe.

Pruski, who was previously affiliate sales administration executive at Discovery, will report to Jacek Koskowski, general manager, BBC Worldwide Channels, central and eastern Europe.

Ian McDonough, senior vice-president and general manager EMEA, BBC Worldwide Channels said: “Zbigniew’s appointment is an important step for us as we look to build our Polish business with the input and expertise of a local team on the ground. I am confident that through their experience and tenacity that Zbigniew and Jacek will deliver many exciting business and distribution opportunities for our channels in the near future.”
