Sky Deutschland reveals details of Sports News channel

German pay TV operator Sky Deutschland has unveiled details about its forthcoming Sky Sports News HD channel.

The 24-hour channel, which will launch this winter, will employ 140 people, including 70 journalists and will be headed by Roman Steuer. Currently, 15 employees are working on the channel, but this number is set to double on September 1.

The format of the channel will be similar to Sky Sports News channels in the UK and Italy, fronted by two presenters at a time.
