Prisa TV launches new football channel

Spanish pay TV provider Prisa TV has this week launched a new football channel, Canal Plus Liga 2, which will offer coverage of Spanish football including five La Liga games each weekend.

The launch comes after Prisa TV and rival MediaPro reached an agreement over coverage whereby Canal Plus will be able to increase its football coverage. Canal Plus Liga and the new channel will together offer eight matches each weekend for €16.95 a month.
