Abu Dhabi group names Wall as CEO

Abu Dhabi Media Company has named former Virgin Media executive Malcolm Wall as CEO.

Wall, who was chief executive for content at Virgin Media, will take over at the UAE-based media group in September. Abu Dhabi Media Company owns a range of TV channels, radio stations and publishing interests, and is a partner with Universal Music Group and Sony Music Entertainment in premium music video platform Vevo as well as a partner with National Geographic in Arabic-language channel National Geographic Abu Dhabi.

Mohamed Mubarak Al Mazrouie, chairman of Abu Dhabi Media said, “Malcolm is a heavy hitter we are delighted to have attracted to ADM.  He brings a wealth of senior operational experience in advertising sales, broadcasting and content. He has worked globally within the print, research and news distribution sectors.
