Rainbow hires distribution exec
Rainbow Media, the channel operator owned by US MSO Cablevision, has hired Marco Frazier as vice-president, global distribution.
In the newly-created role, Frazier will oversee the global distribution of Sundance Channel and WE tv. He will report to Ed Palluth, senior vice-president, global distribution. He has spent the last two years working with Rainbow, securing distribution for the Sundance Channel, which is now carried in eight territories.
Cablevision is about to spin-off Rainbow into a separate entity that will be listed on the US NASDAQ exchange. It will be known as AMC Networks when that process takes effect later this month.
