Universal channels on KPN
Universal Networks International has inked a deal with Dutch IPTV and DTT operator KPN that will see its 13th Street Universal and Syfy Universal launch on its platforms.
The global channels arm of US broadcaster NBC will see its 13th Street launch on June 1 on KPN’s digital terrestrial television service Digitenne as well as on the basic package of its Interactieve TV IPTV service, while Syfy will become available on the premium package of the pay TV platform.
13th Street airs series including Fairly Legal, Law & Order: SVU, Monk and  BBC Worldwide’s Sherlock, while Syfy airs series including Stargate Universe, Haven and Ghost Hunters International. Both channels are already available in the country through the Ziggo, UPC, Caiway, Delta, Glashart and Canal Digitaal platforms.
