Lithuanian cable operator Mikrovistata has begun offering a 1Gbps internet service.

Mikrovistata, which operates a network in the country’s second city of Kaunas, began offering 200Mbps service last year. General director Raimondas Gaidys said the launch of the 1Gbps service represented “a completely new phase” in the development of the internet in Lithuania.
