SeaChange confirms Tivibù involvement

Video technology company SeaChange has provided details of its role in TTNet’s Turkish IPTV platform Tivibù EV, which is currently available in 30 cities.

As the systems integrator and a primary technology provider for Tivibù, SeaChange said it assembled a multinational team of engineers, project managers and technology partners to build the advanced television services. The platform consists of over 100 linear multicast channels, including some HD channels, over 3,000 hours of video-on-demand content, start-over TV and up to 90 minutes of pause time for live TV. Commercially launched on February 23, Tivibù is marketed and sold by TTNet, a Turk Telekom subsidiary.

SeaChange said it developed the operational processes and procedure designs to support the rollout along with any future releases and features. The group also trained Turk Telekom staff on system operations and is currently providing remote managed services. SeaChange also integrated its TV Navigator set-top box client middleware with back office software from Argela.

Other technologies supporting Tivibù include Envivio encoders, Verimatrix digital rights management and encryption, Motorola, Airties and Vestel set-top boxes.  A combination of SeaChange MDS and FMS disk- and flash-based storage servers provide on-demand streaming for the Tivibù VOD service.

SeaChange has previously announced that its On Demand Group subsidiary is TTNet’s international video-on-demand content management partner.
