ITV making Âlittle progress with pay-TV plans
ITV chairman Archie Norman has made little progress with his plans to develop a viable pay-TV strategy for the UK commercial broadcaster, according to a report in newspaper The Mail on Sunday.
The former ASDA supermarket chain chief is currently working on a strategic review that he plans to unveil with ITVÂs interim results in August. The paper cited a source close to Norman as saying that ITV was not yet confident that it could ensure a significant presence on BSkyBÂs platform together with assurances from Sky that it would not increase its carriage terms every few years.
NormanÂs plans also call for more in-house production of hit shows under new production chief Kevin Lygo.
