Danish kids watching more TV but kids channels share slides
Consumption of TV by 3-12 year-olds in Denmark has risen by about 40% since 2005, according to cable operator YouSee. However the share taken by channels specifically aimed at children has declined as a proportion of the whole in favour of viewing of channels aimed at other age groups.
Overall consumption of TV by Danes has also increased  to an average of three hours seven minutes a day in 2009. Kids channels account for 44% of viewing by 3-12 year-olds, down from 48% in 2007. Public broadcaster DRÂs launch of DR Ramasjang last year took the number of dedicated kids channels in the Danish market to 10.
