Euronews in Spanish DTT bid

Euronews wants to obtain a digital-terrestrial channel in Spain, according to its CEO, Philippe Cayla, cited in the Spanish press.

Euronews is currently seeking a distribution agreement in Spain, following the decision two years ago by public broadcaster RTVE to stop funding the channel in order to promote its own international service TVE Interacional. Euronews is also negotiating with regional channels to include its programming in their output.
