Lovefilm hires former Kangaroo exec

Former Project Kangaroo chief executive Lesley Mackenzie has been hired by DVD rental firm Lovefilm to run its digital business. Mackenzie, who was interim boss at the recently collapses joint venture between the BBC, ITV and Channel 4, will become group digital officer, and will lead Lovefilm’s download-to-own and subscription streaming services. Lovefilm, which launched in 2004, is currently available in the UK, Sweden, Norway, Denmark and Germany and has over one million members.
