Abraham named as Channel 4 chief executive
David Abraham, CEO of pay-TV channel provider UKTV, has been named as the new chief executive of UK public broadcaster Channel 4.
Abraham, who has headed the joint venture between Virgin Media and BBC Worldwide since 2007, had earlier been identified as a front runner for the post, along with former Discovery Channel US chief and BBC2 controller Jane Root.
Abraham replaces Andy Duncan, who left the UK broadcaster in November.
