Sat1 chief replaced by ProSieben head

The head of German TV channel Sat1 Guido Bolten has left the company with immediate effect after only 14 months in charge. Andreas Bartl, head of media group ProSiebenSat1, will assume responsibility for the channel.

Sat1 is ProSieben’s leading channel but last year only managed a market share of 10.8% in the key 14-49 age group. “Reliability and trust of our viewers and our advertising clients have the highest priority. Therefore, I will personally lead the station until further notice,” Bartl told German newspaper Handelsblatt.
