ARCEP lists fibre Âmutualisation beneficiaries
French telecom regulator ARCEP has published a list of service providers that must be informed when one of their number secures an agreement allowing it to install fibre in apartment buildings.
Under a law passed in August 2008, operators installing fibre in buildings are subject to the principle of ÂmutualisationÂ, allowing other operators to provide fibre services over the network on a non-discriminatory basis. The operators named by ARCEP yesterday are Free, SFR, France Télécom, Numéricable, Sequalum and Covage.
Other operators that wish to be included must inform ARCEP.
