UK’s FetchTV strikes retail deal

IP Vision-owned FetchTV, a hybrid digital-terrestrial and broadband TV service in the UK, is to sell its SmartBoxes through the John Lewis retail chain. The deal is the first retail deal signed by the service.

FetchTV provides a range of catch-up and online TV services, including access to the BBC iPlayer catch-up TV service, via a Freeview Plus DVR set-top. The box, which includes a 160GB hard drive, is available for £219 (€255).
