Schmid leaves Tele Columbus

German cable operator Tele Columbus Group’s CEO and president Markus Schmid has left the company at his own request. He will be succeeded on an interim bases by chief financial officer Michael Buhl.

Schmid, who has been managing director of Tele Columbus since April 2007 and CEO of sister company Primacom since April 2008, was responsible for restructuring and repositioning the group over the last two years under the majority ownership of Orion Cable.
