CTC Media chief quits

Alexander Rodnyansky has stepped down as president of Russian media company CTC Media.

Rodnyansky, who will leave at the start of August, will continue to sit on the board of directors. This follows the announcement that Rodnyansky is planning to launch his own film studio AR Films. He was previously responsible for the production of one of Russia’s biggest budget movies Inhabited Island and will use AR Film to launch a film library of art-house and mainstream projects, TV series and film finance for third party movies.
