Nagravision and OpenTV sue Apple for patent infringement
Kudelski subsidiaries Nagravision and OpenTV have filed claims for three patent infringements against Apple in the Düsseldorf District Court in Germany.
The pair allege that Apple has infringed patents ownd by them and are seeking to prevent the US technology giant from further infringement.
According to Kudelski, the infringements span apple’s iOS mobile devices, Apple TV, the App Store and OS X-based computers.
Separately, Kudelski has appointed David Fligor and Clay Gaetje as vice-presidents of licensing within its intellectual property and innovation team, reporting to Joe Chernesky, senior vice-president, intellectual property and innovation.
Fligor was previously vice-president, corporate development and strategy at TiVo and Gaetje was vice-president, licensing at Rovi.
