Facebook expands live video streaming

Facebook has expanded live video sharing to all of its US iPhone users and has announced plans to start rolling this out to the rest of the world in the coming weeks.

Users can discover live videos from friends and public figures via their Facebook news feed and subscribe to get a notification the next time a broadcaster goes live.

To share a live video, Facebook users can tap on their Update Status and then select the Live Video icon.

Facebook started to test live video streaming in the US in December, rolling out the new feature to a “small percentage” of iPhone users.
