New chief executive for nc+
Polish pay TV operator nc+ has named Manuel Rougeron as its new president, replacing Julien Verley, who is joining the board of Canal+ as part of the ongoing series of changes instigated at the French pay TV outfit by Vivendi chairman Vincent Bolloré.
Rougeron, who was previously vice-president of programming at the operator and has served on the board since December 2013. He has previously worked in a number of senior broadcasting roles, including as chief operating officer of VSTV, where he was responsible for the launch of the Canal+ platform in Vietnam and as managing director of Canal+ South Pacific.
The board of nc+, a partnership between Canal+ Group and Poland’s ITI Group/TVN, will now comprise Rougeron, finance and logistics VP Nicolas Dandoy, marketing VP Jacek Balicki, technology and IT VP Jaroslaw Kordalewski and sales VP Artur Przybysz.
Verley will be part of a four-man management board at Canal+ that will also include Grégoire Castaing, the operator’s CEO Maxine Saada and chairman Jean-Christophe Thiery.
